When it comes to the typical "mythical animals"...(unicorns, chupacabras, dragons, bigfoot/et al., black panthers etc., etc...)
IMO, we are much more likely to see a realization of a black panther/puma/cougar etc., etc...in nearer future than any of the others cited or not...
We know for fact that big cats exist in today's world...that alone sets them apart from the others as all they lack is a color gene or something?....

The science of genetics and the courses of nature in the animal kingdom make strange bedfellows...

As far as the rest of them go...they no different than flying reindeer...!

It beats buying an setting up and tearing down the ferris wheel in the next town . And dealing with inspection and lawsuits and with all due respect ,some carnys .The Strange Case of the Minnesota Iceman - Scientific American Blog Network

Not a bad "gig" traveling around just makeing sure the "iceman" doesn't thaw or melt . Now the "bearded " lady I know exist !
I woke up to one years ago after a heavy nite of partying !!!

I recall seeing the Minnesota Iceman, many...more that 50...years ago. I still recall my impression that if it was a fake, it was an extremely detailed and probably a very expensive fake. I looked at those parts that were the most visible (it was encased in ice) and the thing, to me at the time, looked real. I recall looking at the hand that was very close to the surface, and thinking that it was too detailed to be fake. It didn't look exactly human, but very, very close.

I'm waiting for proof Big Foot exists. But, in the meantime I'm not willing to say he doesn't exist. Whenever someone says something doesn't exist because we've never found one, there's the story of the Coelacanths that went extinct 65 million years ago - or so we thought.

"Coelacanths were thought to be extinct until a live one was caught in 1938. Coelacanths were known only from fossils until a live Latimeria chalumnae was discovered off the coast of South Africa in 1938. Until then, they were presumed to have gone extinct in the late Cretaceous period, over 65 million years ago."

But we did have a fossil record of the coelacanths...something that does not exist or has never been found for a bigfoot type creature...nor has there ever been any type of DNA evidence from physical specimens (tissue, scat, bones etc.)...EVERYTHING to date has proven to be from an known existing species...same goes for the so called chupacabra...

What I find rather humorous is the fact that before the advent of digital cameras (especially on most cell phones and the millions of game cameras out in the field) there were more images and videos popping up claiming to have captured bigfoot on film...now with all those cameras there are still no (unaltered) pics...

Same with UFO's. Where are all the modern photos?

Mostly because of naivety or gullibility...in some fields of science and math it is imperative believe something exists or is true without proof...in order to be able to prove that it does or is....

Because someone told you about it? You told us that Steve said that, I have no reason to doubt you.

True, and that is a very compelling reason to believe that BigFoot does not exist. However, all we have of shark fossils is their teeth since there are no other bony materials in them and they can get quite large. Yes, they are in the water and supported by it so that's not the same as on land. But, until we actually find one, I'm on the "well, maybe it's true" side of the quest.
