Crazy usses of tiltmeters

On my L4310HST, going up a grade greater than about 40 degrees causes the HST to starve for fluid, and coast backwards. There are probably other reasons why you wouldn't want to climb a hill that steep, though. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Thanks Mark,
I called two local dealers today-one J.D. and one Kubota.
Kubota dealer was no help. No idea. J.D. dealer said not
sure, but could tell if brought in for warranty work if
motor or trans failed due to low fluid caused by steep
slope. Don't see how they could deny warranty if they
won't say what too steep is. Go figure!!!!! By the way,
I have a customer that buys 10 #23 s a year for robots.
Radio controlled. Operator can be up to 1/4 mile away.
On board camera is the operators eyes. Tiltmeter is mounted
on front, at bottom left of camera view. Robot will roll
at 40 degrees. BUMMER. Oh well, whatever floats your boat,
or in this case rolls your robot. Rick
