There have been many useful ideas posted on this forum that were created by very inventive minds. I need some ideas as to how I might create a dethatching device that would attach to my FEL's quick-tach brackets on my JD4400. My general idea is to somehow create an angle iron frame to which spring-loaded tines, that are sold at TSC, are somehow fastened-- that would mount on the FEL instead of the bucket and then set it into float position to scratch up thatch which I would immediately mow with the belly mower and windrow it for easier pickup. Any thoughts from you inventive souls out there??? TIA Mike S.

estat rake

Sounds like a lot of extra work. Estate rakes list for $399 & dethatch & windrow in one pass. They just fasten to the drawbar. Contact sheaftractor@coiinc.com for more info.
