Use it to protect electrical wiring as a sleeve.
For rattles on sheet metal hoods, cut a short piece. Then slit one side. Slip the open side over the metal and rivet in place. I may have to post a picture later if this doesn't make sense.
Make a leader hose. Most of the flexing where leaks start is at the tool end of the hose. So use the hose to make a short leader hose. When it gets a leak, put on another one. You'll already have enough hose if it hasn't rotted by then.
Make two hoses instead of splicing it all together again.
