Another person who retired to farming. As I worked up the ladder in engineering I always had the opportunity to operate next year's machine, or even 3 years from now machine. Our combine was one of my projects waaay back and I left that company 10 years after it was in production to work elsewhere. In those 10 years things progressed far beyond this machine; however, I know it inside and out which is a huge help when trying to keep a 40 year old machine running. Something I really miss is having the ability to plug my computer in and monitor or even tweak it. First thing when I got on the new Kubota was look for the standard SAE computer interface socket but it's not there. My cousin really asked me to come back into partnership so I can fix everything he breaks.Thank you very much for the very detailed response. Answered all questions I might have had. Kubota is trying very hard to get into the AG market. I never hear anyone complain about their attempt. I know what you mean about the MX135 almost being a Deere. My M9540 was almost a 5xxxM Deere except for $6000. Thanks again for the response. I'm two years retired back to the farm. So I know the feeling about "old guy".![]()

My Brother and I work together. His health isn't very good so I end up doing all the manual labor stuff. He's also a total cobbler, so I end up fixing everything he tears up. And it's a steady stream cause he's kinda like the Bull in the China Shop.....![]()
I heard that a score in the 800s is great too so I couldn't believe it when I got turned down and in the letter Kubota Credit suggested ways to improve my score, none of which applied to me. Well, one thing did apply - I have a small home loan. If my home loan was bigger I would have had a higher score. Go figure. As it was it was all an honest mistake by the dealer.Mister Harry, I was told by a new car salesman one time that only god has a credit score in the 800s so congratulations. Richard one of my favorite sayings I use goes like this: "If I can't fix it I'll smash it!" Regards and stay warm Winter is still upon us here in hOOterville, Fred
