Creek got me again

Heh, don't give it a second thought. I bet most everyone here has been stuck at one time or another. I know I have! I just try not to do the same thing twice.... :)

True, there are two type of tractor owners..... Those have gotten stuck an those who lie about getting stuck.

The only tractors that do not get stuck are the ones sitting in a garage with the doors pulled down.

never been stuck but numerous times the FEL has been used to get out of the goo...this was way back in the days when it would actually rain on occasion.

That is a little precarious angle on the first photo.
But, use the hydraulics on your bucket to either crawl forward, or push yourself backward.

CliffordK-that was attempted and got me straighter than I was in this picture but thy soil in front if the loader was as soupy as the muck I was stuck in.

This was the first time in 160hours I had the sense to say it is stuck enough that I am going to get a tug.

Every other time it was in that creek 'immobilized' the backhoe was always able to push, pull or swing me out. Like I said I knew it deep down when I went in without the backhoe I would get hung up.

It put a smile on my wife's face and she got to say you owe me. 30 years ago it was my mom who would have been shaking her head!! Back then it was a 12hp Lowes that was an hour hold. Boy was she mad at me. Said she can't have anything nice and then "you wait until your father gets home". I still laugh about that one. Boy i drove that woman crazy That time I couldn't find the brake.

My creek got me too. I had to get a neighbor with a different color tractor to pull me out.

Was stuck on weekend with the B3200 but shooting Video's for a how too on using the bucket to get out. New bucket with teeth are great at getting unstuck, unfortuneatly I, like the OP did not pick a place with a bottom. Thats why I also like my Massey, it is my tow truck. Fortuneatly DW was with me so she worked the go pedal on the B3200 while I worked the Massey. If I had been alone it would have required mounting the Winch on my pickup and thats a back breaker.

And I just now recalled 'jumping' the 1811 Cub Cadet in the same creek about 4 years ago while trying to cut through the center of a swing set. When the swing came back I managed to push the hydro full forward and roll off the back at the same time. It landed right in front of the clean out of the big pipe that serves as my bridge. Used a Honda 680 Rincon to get that one out. I never told the wife about that one until last year.

I seem to recall wanting to pipe the entire creek at one point or another. My reasoning was always aesthetics, maybe it should just be for safety!?!?

I know one of these days my sons will be cutting the grass. I believe at that point I will trade to a BX25; shouldn't need the ground clearance once all the creek work is done.

Oh, did you have to bring that up? :(

Reminded me of the time I high centered the M4700 and had to meet the neighbor for the first time to pull me off...twice within a hour! I was trying to clear some dirt piles the previous owner had left hidden in high weeds.

I had forgotten about that until you mentioned the "twice" thing!
