The mom reminds me of Ma Barker... when she was questioned about all the bikes in the yard she said she goes to work and comes home and NEVER sets foot in the backyard...

With a response like that, she's likely a CEO, or politician..... should be an Academy Award category for those types....

When I was 10 a family a couple of blocks away was getting rid of things prior to moving... I had helped move boxes and the Dad gave me an old 10 speed... that night, my Father put me in the car with the bike and drove over to the house to make sure it was legit...

Once parental actions devolved to just lawyering up, or whining to the media about how their "angels" are being treated, things were pretty far down that slippery slope...... add to that a litigation happy system that is more concerned with creating a safe working environment (ex. deadbolts) for criminals...... you end up where we are today.....

She was a single never married parent of 4 and employed by paratransit.

When she decided to move to a "Better area" all she needed to do was transfer her Section 8 Housing Voucher...

Seems her "Boys" were always in trouble and she would go to bat each time...

Her girls were young and very sweet... sometimes wonder if they followed in their older brothers footsteps.

Kids seem to learn at a young age that nothing can really happen to them and I think it emboldens them.

If you have been robbed twice like we have and expect some help from the police I think that you will be greatly disappointed.

Had 2 guys trespassing last week and I confronted them they were total arse holes and standoffish.I called local police to come out was told to busy and file a complaint.Nice.

The chief of police went on record saying not to expect the police to respond in every case.

The home that was broken into was call number 71 on the backlog list.

On a different subject, my brother is getting ready to sell his home and move to the ranch property he bought... I was there today and noticed someone had started a fire on the back trail... this is in California were we have a draught and some idiot burned an entire dead fir tree about 7' tall... just torched it...

healthcare ... basic needs are met , specialty stuff varies from province to province ( wait times from months to years , depending )

gun control ? ... legal this month , illegal the next, depending on the whims of the police and how they feel ...

the RCMP kicked in a lot of doors to "take" properly secured and registered firearms in areas not affected by flooding , even went back to a few homes and searched a second time

...

I'll bet Sergeant Preston is rolling over in his grave...

Pretty brazen thieves to keep bankers hours burglarizing homes. We had the same type of activity here a couple years ago. The guys were finally caught by detectives. Druggies with weapons. Apparently they just didn't have the time to look for jobs......

It's not brazen, they are hitting homes at the opportune time when most people are at work., They're lazy and smart.
