Thanks for the video but I think they'll end up on the burn pile. I need to get rid of the evidence. I've lived on this property for 12 years now and the squirrels only started attacking the vehicles after my ex took her dog with her when she left. I've got a Border Collie but she couldn't care less whether a squirrel eats my vehicles or not.

I really need to get another dog to take care of this situation on a full time basis. Any suggestions on a breed of dog that can live outside full time and loves to kill squirels? I've always had my heart set on a German Shepherd (non akc) but I don't know if they'll keep the yard free of critters or not.

Well, they're still at it! We recently bought a used suv since we're my wife is due to have our first baby in April. Not only did i buy Animal Stopper as I mentioned before, I also bought 2 boxes of moth balls and another brand of animal repellent spray. I placed the moth balls in the engine compartment of the truck and the suv and threw the rest of them under both vehicles. I also sprayed each engine compartment and around the wheel wells of both vehicles. Yesterday when we pulled into the driveway I watched a %#$%%@ squirrel run out from under our suv! I was so P'od I started cussing a blue streak. Since then I've set 2 live traps and borrowed some leg traps from a coworker to set in the yard. I'm also going to sit on the porch this weekend with my shotgun and wait. They're out of season right now but I don't really care. They're costing me big money now!

What ever dog you get it is fairly easy to train them to chase them. I have a Lab and a Pit and they both love chasing them. The Pit is the only one that is fast enough to actually catch them. It's actually my daughters dog and he is the best dog we have ever had. Not a good breed to be left out all the time.

We had a rodent problem until we got an outdoor cat. Problem solved.

Ferrel cats killed a bunch of our chickens until I live trapped it. My neighbor killed several cats that were eating his chickens too. I'm going with a dog.

I'm not a huge fan of cats either, and will never have an indoor cat, but when it comes to getting rid of rodents, nothing is more effective. IMHO

By the way, I also have several dogs but they just like to lay around all day.

That may be what I have to do, if so it will be spayed/neutered and from a pound. May save one life from certain death at the shelter. I have dogs that love to chase squirrels, but they are in a fenced area since I don't allow them to run loose. A "fixed" cat might not attract other feral cats, but should be great at rodent control (I dislike cats too)

Field mice is my biggest headache, my 12gauge is pretty good at "catching" squirrels.
