Crocodile Hunter...(stupid pet trick ?)

I frankly don't see how mentioning MJ is the same as profanity. I guess I don't get it. Mentioning MJ as a fine upstanding example, now that would be profane.

Anyway, what the guy did was a stupid stunt, about the same as what MJ did, maybe worse. But it won't put him in MJ's class as for as stature, because he seems to otherwise be a good guy. I doubt he pulls that stunt anymore when he thinks about what could have happened.

Steve Irwin Has got to take the idiot of the year award for what he did, It was not good for our image here in Australia, I am sure it does not help our tourist trade. the sooner we shrug images like steve Irwin and Paul Hogan.

I think you "nailed" it, Harv. What was his point? He specifically include his child in the stunt because he wanted to be dramatic for the camera, a.k.a. he's an attention "freak." What if no one had made a big deal and this went unnoticed? What would he do next? It's the Evel Kneivel syndrome.

The slightest hint of profanity gets deleted 30 seconds after it is posted, but it's apparently okay to post the name of one of our most unpopular entertainers...?

I kinda liked the guy until I saw that. What an idiot. It is one thing to put yourself at risk, especially with years of experience to balance the risk but to put someone else at risk, a baby at that, is an increadible bit of stupidity and ego. Like MJ this guy needs a reality lesson. Sleeping with 14yo boys is not OK regardless and neither is hanging a baby out a window or dangling him in front of a crocodile. Something about being in front of a camera is apparently the culprit, like some kind of insidious disease, it turns you into a moron /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. J

I like Steve Irwin and his show.
As far as Steve and MJ, the only parallel there is between the 2 celebrities is the stunt the each did endagering there children.
Steve Irwin is a good family man that made a foolish mistake and is not some freak like MJ.
MJ is not a man,he is a messed up individual.

Absolutely right. The syndrome I was referring to is having to always do something more dramatic, more dangerous, than previous stunts to propel oneself back into the spotlight. EK was definitely guilty of that with ever-increasing spectacular stunts, many of which failed dreadfully. ...but when he healed up, that uncontrollable urge returned. Danger was Evel's "drug of choice."
