..... And the more you care about your concrete floor, the more stuff that starts leaking oil and scratching the heck out of it.

LOL! Yep, you'd smile if you saw the concrete floor in my shed.

The previous owner builder of it troweled it slick smooth as well.
I've got carpet remnants in my walkways & sheets of cardboard under my equipment trying to protect the concrete from 'injury'.

I thought I was the only one that "cushions" my concrete! I have a sheet of OSB to rest my FEL o. When I take it off the tractor, and all my implements are on dollies-the floor is so. Ice I don't want to scratch it.

I have concrete in mine now if I was going to have a dirt floor I would go with road gravel.

I can get granite crusher dust here. Not a lot of limestone in this part of the state.

It packs tight but is easy to regrade/smooth/level if needed. Stone dust in a work area would be nice compared to courser gravel because it won't swallow small parts, screws, nuts, pins, clips, etc.

We've had crushed limestone for years but now we're seeing and using a lot more crushed concrete. I wonder how this would work for a shed floor?

I started with gravel in my pole barn. Big mistake. I finally did concrete. Best 6K I ever spent.

There is some truth to it. The stone floor will wick moisture up from below and that will corrode stuff. I had a 3" nylon strap in garage up north. When we put the strap away the aluminum end was touching the gravel floor. Two years later I noticed something strange and looked closer. The aluminum had swelled up twice it's size and was clearly corroding. I brushed off the aluminum dust and found the metal had been significantly corroded. The gravel floor was limestone so maybe there was something to do with the aluminum reacting with the alkaline stone.
