Crusty build-up on MT372, KE70 injector

I bought a Mitsubishi MT372D with a front end loader. The KE70 engine had a bad head gasket from overheating. When I took the head off I found that there was a crusty buildup on the head by where the diesel injector line comes in. I hope the photo came through. Can anyone give me an idea what would cause this?

It could be just fuel soaked oil n a loose injector.. they have a seal at the bottom of the injector to seal off the combustion chamber ..
The seals should come in the new head gasket set.??
As long as the head is off, NOW is a good time to get the injectors checked/rebuilt.!!

Could be bad valves too..
But no matter how u slice it, the seal at the injector bottom shoulda held it..inside the combustion chamber..
