I sat on- but did NOT drive- both tractors (same dealer) yesterday as I begin to shop for something built in the 21st Century:D

The price is similar, as is the HP, and "size". The Bobcat is 400 lbs heavier, and I felt every pound. It just seemed like a bigger machine. I like the telescopic links and the FEL joystick position, and the on-and-off from either side.
I looked at a JD 3032e, and plan to check out a comparable Mahindra. I'd welcome the thoughts of anyone who has made a similar decision.

The Bobcat site has a good comparision of the CT series versus other tractors including Kubota. The CT230 has more features than the L series and I think approaches features found on the Kubota Grand L series.

I think there are other threads that make similar comparisons. But the Bobcat model comparison is a good starting point.

I looked at all of the same tractors before I bought my CT 230. It has more features for the buck than all the rest and at better prices. In addition I have a reputable larger Bobcat dealer close to me. I have 30 hours or so on mine since 12/2010 and am happy with it. Get it and start using it. I waited a year shopping before I bought mine but that time spent looking has made me happy with what I have.

I second birddriver I did them all the Bob came with everything standard when Kub,JD,Cub either did not have it or charged extra. I think the L2800 is dropped now it was replaced by a larger B and/or L3200
The 230 out PPP them all in the class 30hp when I looked Price(well under with lot of standard acc.) Performance(lift 3pt,loader/power) DealerProfessionalism(dealers I went to) what it did lack was a little in finish but not fit.
I went to auctions looked used for over a year but I know the neighbor sure was impressed with the Bobcat's standard features he has a newer L3400 gear

I know a Kubota dealer here TX has a new L3200 2wd with a landpride 5' cutter for under 11K not to throw you either way
