In fact, you are right. Machine has been sitting in the lot for more than a year. Price is $18,400+ tax for the machine, rear valve, and 8T (Bobcat promo) loader. The dealer was NOT AT ALL receptive to giving me one of his newer models because, and I can understand this, the newer models cost them more and because he is getting incentives from BC to sell his old stuff. So now I am back to ground zero I guess. The funny thing is that the dealers I talk to are going nuts because theyen't keep inventory on the lot but they all seem to have "old" new tractors around.

Also, I think I am going to put off the backhoe idea for the time being. Still buying the grappler though.

One thing you can do is use the Bobcat pricing to deal with Kioti. I had a quote from Kioti on a DK35 HST and Bobcat offered a 2010 CT335 (demo) with 9 hrs on it at a much better price. When I went back to Kioti they met that price with a 2011 machine. I wanted to buy from Kioti because one of the co-owners is a neighbour. Besides, I like the orange colour better.;)

It has been 6 weeks since I bought the DK35 but I was talking with the Kioti dealer yesterday and he told me something else that may encourage Bobcat to offer "demos" at lower prices. He said Bobcat rents out machines and gets revenue from that. If the machine has low hours they sell it as a demo machine.

Either way, I wouldn't care because I would assume the demo machine was serviced by Bobcat and has a full warranty.

Ask about getting a Bobcat grapple as part of the purchase package. The guy might be willing to provide the grapple, hydraulic pieces and labor at his cost just to move the tractor.

Give the guy another try with a grapple and see where he comes in at. It might save you some money on the grapple and make the deal more doable.

There is no difference in the tractor of last years model or this year, except price. My dealer told me there was a price increase late last year, plus dealer's incentive to sell the older equipment which he has already had to pay for when it came off floor plan.
