I agree. Always check your easy stuff first. Also this might get a more intelligent response in the Bobcat section.

It could be a an electrical short all the way to bad compression. I think we'll need to know more of the details. IE: does it start, run and idle fine when cold? Does it only do this when warm? Any smoke? If so, what color? Does it use any oil? etc.
