1. I got off the cub to move a gate, and the safety interlock shut the engine off, I had forgotten to engage the parking brake. After a while with the gate, I went back to the Cub and saw the headlights were on with the engine off. It seems the battery could have been discharged if I had taken a while getting back to it.
2 The Cub kept throwing the deck belt. After the third time in 2 days, I noticed the belt had twisted on itself so that it wasn't running true on the pulleys. Straightened the belt and just mowed an acre with no problem.
3. The PTO switch is too near my right knee My bumpy land bounces my leg and I shut it off several times an hour. Wearing ear plugs keeps my from hearing the sound difference to tell me I'm not mowing.
4. Spilled gas on the black plastic around the fuel filler. Does anyone have suggestions as to a protectent, such as ArmorAll, car wax, etc., to put on the plastic parts to keep them from drying out and discoloring?
The Cub is outstanding as to functionality ease of use and fuel consumption. I am very pleased with it.
