Looking to trade my 2518 for a Z Force 48" . My 2518 has less than 100 hrs on it. Can get the Z Force for $2800 w/ trade which would include $1500.00 for my 2518. Could I sell it for a lot more? Anyone had experience with the Z Force? Any opinions appreciated.

That doesn't quite add up. A new Z-Force 48" retails for $4199, minus your trade value of $1500 = $2699. Or is your $2800 price including tax? Remember, you don't pay sales tax on the amount of your trade-in allowance. Those Z-forces look nice. Hydro-Gear lists the ZT-2800 hydrostats as having an external, spin-on filter so that's nice too! Yeah, $1500 sounds about right for a dealer offer for your 2518. You could probably get $2K+ for it yourself.

Z Force MSRP is 4299 around here. 4300 - 1500 = 2800..I'm not including taxes in my calculations.

That was 4 years ago, it only looks like a recent post. Just thinking of getting the Z as something different, never had a Zero Turn. Do you advise against it? I suppose the 2518 may last longer with fewer problems.

1*Do you advise against it?
2*I suppose the 2518 may last longer with fewer problems.

1* If you still had the 4 acres to mow it might be ok.
However I don't think it's worth shelling out the extra 2800 bucks and loosing the versatility of the Cub 2518 for the small three quarter acre lot.
2*I would stick with the 2518.
