Tractor
Kubota L3940
I just bought a Cub 7192 (mitsubishi diesel). The tractor has less than 400 hours and looks clean. Does anyone know anything about this tractor regarding reliability? What do you think it is worth?

If you just bought it I guess you and the seller just made the market on a Cub 7192....you must know what it's worth...

Guserman,
Congrats on the tractor, It is a capable small workhorse. I have had two cubs with the mitsubishi diesel. I think you will find it very reliable. I would recommend going over it with a fine tooth comb. Tighten every bolt, especially the engine mounting bolts. They have a tendency to vibrate loose over time with the 7000 series. Do all fluids and filters. I'm guessing 19 horse power, but what kind of tranny? I know a 7195 would have been hydro and a 7190 gears. If it's hydro you can't keep it clean enough, ( new fluid and filters often) gears are more forgiving of slopy maintanance but we know thats not good for any tractor. Did you get an owners manual with it, that would give you the prescribed maintanance program.

I really do like the 7000 series cubs I don't think you will be dissapointed.
I guess it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If it is clean and well mantained it's worth maybe as much as 8,500.00 ( that's a guess) and different depending on your location.

I recently, March 2006, bought a 7194 which is the 4WD version of the same tractor you bought, the 7192 . . . could be mistaken on that but close enough I think. However, I paid $9K for it and have not regretted the price I paid in the slightest. I looked at CUB's, KUB's, JD's and New Holland in the southwest (CA, AZ,CO, NM, NV) and this was as good a deal as I found. Since then I have run the heck out of it and treated it like a real tractor. Aside from a hard starting electrical problem that I will solve as soon as I can get out of the seat long enough to trouble shoot it, I have had not complaints. Oh, I did test out the ROP once, and as a result developed a slight case of hydrolock on the engine which was easily remedied, but live and learn. Although I am not as knowledgable on CUT's as some, I am, by profession, in a position to understand the differences in cost, quality and performance between different makes and models of these things and am not at all dissatisfied with the CUB. I am attaching a photo of one of the jobs I had Little Nellie do for me.
