Cub Cadet 3000-series -- newby question!

hello
good to see someone has a 3000,i have 3184 that a friend gave to me, all is well and I like it a whole lot better than the 2550 that I had.
only one problem, i should sat hhmmm. worst one is that my 2 pto drive belts are a problem the outer belt comes off. and gets chewed up. i have been using the inner belt only and seems to be okay but they put 2 belts on it for a reason, HOW CAN I ADJUST THE BELT TENSION BETTER???
the other cant be fixed as it need a none slip differential on hills and damp grass.
any ideas or help with the belts please

I have a 3235 with the dual PTO belts. The originals lasted for many years and when they failed I bought a pair on eBay which were chewed up after only three weeks. I then found another pair of genuine Kevlar belts on eBay and they have been running the last couple years or so. Make sure that they are high quality belts and perfectly matched in size. If in doubt spend a little more and buy genuine MTD or Cub Cadet belts. Mine has 2 guides that prevent the belts from jumping off the pulleys.
