I am looking at a new purchase of a Cub Cadet 4x4 utility vehicle. I saw one at the Minnesota State fair and was fairly impressed. Does anyone have one and what is your opinion of this vechicle?

I just purchased one about 1 week ago. So far I really like it. I use it for a mix of work and play, although other models that run faster might be more fun, where I am 25mph is enough due to rough terrain.

I used it all weekend moving rock and loads of dirt around the place and it was great. If you are going to carry heavy loads you will want the electric bed lift option, right now I have a strong young son that works but will need to purchase that option later.

I test drove one this weekend and thought the 20 hp Kohler had a fair amount of zip. I was pretty impressed with the ride and the ease of steering.

What did you pay for yours? My dealer is quoting me a price of $7,995 plus tax. I am thinking of adding the heavy duty alternator and light bar which he will add for about $575 including the installation.

If it weren't for the fact that Deere is going to have a sportier version of their HPX 4x4 in early 2007 I would be in the Cadet right now. I just can't decide whether I need the extra speed that Deere is supposed to be putting in the next HPX.

I am a little in the same boat. I sold my diesel Gator about two months ago and miss not having a UTV. I really would like to see one of those new Gators, but I might need something beforehand. I am looking at a Ranger 700 XP which would be my other first choice, but the Deere machine is SUPPOSED to be quite nice, but JANUARY????

Seems like it might be a bit later then jan but I guess since it's a whole new line almost it would be jan. IIRC it was feb/march that the 06 HPXs came out. But I wasn't really into anything back then. I had my 6x4 and that was all that mattered, so I wouldn't really base anything off of what I just said.
