cub cadet 5254 - Hydraulics slow

I'm in the process of buying a cub cadet 5254. At the dealer the hydraulics that controls the belly mower and the 3-pt hitch raises quickly but lowers very slowly (over 7-8 seconds) to lower the mower. They're telling me it seems slow but don't know of a fix and may have to live with it. Is this normal for the compacts. It didn't seem to help while two guy pushed down on the 3-pt while it was being lowered. It went down at the same speed with the tractor not running. Just wondering if this is normal or should be fixed before I buy.

It sounds like there is a blockage somewhere in the line. The pressure side will always lift faster.

Does the 5254 have something that controls the rate of decent like bigger tractos?
