Just to keep the Cub Forum going...

I have a 1998 7260 gear drive that just turned 250 hours (have another tractor and garden tractor so, seat time gets diveed up).

I had two junky batteries from Cub, I replaced them with first an old NAPA, then a new John Deere this year. Not a big deal.

I busted a mounting bolt for the (Bush Hog) loader (my fault from moving boulders) and dented the grill getting the loader off (grrr.).

The battery tray is a little rusty (but aren't they all?).

I have kept the service intervals by the book and it starts and does what I want it to every time.

I have the adjustable wheels and they are at their wodest point. No troubles.

I added 280lbs of wheel weights, worklight, suicide knob and bucket hooks.

What I would do next time: Get mid PTO and rear hydraulic couplers, maybe the Cub loader since it comes off better than the Hog.

What I wished Cub had offered: Flip-up PTO shield and adjustable 3PH links.

My verdict: A great simple tractor. No frills. No electronic junk to break. I would buy another in a second.

I've got a 7264 with a loader and hoe that I like alot.(albeit there have been some repairs, all under warranty)
It's an '03 with about 110 hrs.
So far I've had 2 front loader valves replaced and the HI /Lo range repaired (factory recall), the tach went bad , some hydraulic leaks and currently the alt. light stays on from time to time. I thought the battery was going bad but now I'm not so sure....
I'm thinking about adding some remotes to the machine at present.
Although I've had some problems, I'm thankful they've been warranty issues. I hope they're coming to a close. ' Might not be as happy when it becomes "out of pocket "....

I have nearly 600 hours on my 7260 with similar good luck. I'd also buy another if I was looking again, but I think this one will last me many more years!
