Jinma 204 -- now gone
Hi all,

Does anyone have any information on the Cub Cadet 7304.

I know it is a 30 HP Turbo Diesel Diahatsu ( ??? I think that is how it is spelt ) and have Googled this but not really able to find any info on it. Not even from Cub. Produced in 03 & 04 I think but that is about all I can find out.
Friend of a friend of a friend has got one for sale @ a good $ but haven't seen it yet and would like some info first.

Can anyone tell me of a tractor that compares to it in physical size ( ie a BX or B series or same size as a Deere 2305 or 2320 ?

Anyone know where I could get an owners manual ?

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Thanks

I don't know a thing about that model, but here is a link to one that sold for $6500 with 200 hours on it.
Cub Cadet 7304 Tractors 2003

Here's a link to all the parts info at PartsTree.com:
Parts and Diagrams for Cub Cadet 7304 Tractor

I looked on Cub Cadet's site and found the manual for a mower deck, but not for the tractor. I'll look again later and see if I can find an online manual for a 7304. Hope this helps!

Hi,

Thanks for the response. All I could find was the mower manual as well.

Was basically looking for a specifications sheet and since I couldn't find that was looking for the owner's manual hoping for some details on the specs.

Obviously not a popular model.

Please let me know if you dig up some specs on it.

Thanks and have a great evening/

Well I looked around some more, couldn't find a spec sheet. 777777, I saw you have posted on several other web sites, one guy gave you some specs but nobody seems to have an actual spec sheet or manual to share.

Hi Dave01,

Well the 7304 was dropped off today. Have to laugh because I got the loader manual and a complete parts manual but no operators manual. Just my luck.

Luck would also have it that I was on the way to the farm show so I had to turn around and come home to accept delivery.

Went to a Cub dealer this aft and he didn't have much luck in looking it up but told me they had a girl who specialized in Cubs and he would have her look it up and give me a buzz.

So, guess sooner or later will have some specs on it but until then will just enjoy it.

Thanks for your efforts and have a good one.

All that I can tell you is that if you are wondering who makes the motor, I believe that briggs and stratton makes it. At least that was the case on my 5234d, i think.

I think its the other way around. Doesn't Diahatsu mfg the vanguard series of engines for B&S?

Hi,

Came on a flat bed and was dropped off at the local Deere dealership who was doing a favour for the trucker. Trucker wanted to know what year it was as it was like new.

I went up, got on it and away I went home. Only bout 1/2mile.

Later in the afternoon took it out back to play with. Actually was really impressed with what it could do especially considering I really didn't know how to operate it very well.

Got so involved that I ended up fooling around on it for a couple of hours and when I was finished couldn't believe it. Had actually accomplished more in that couple of hours than I had done all last year. Moved a couple of boulders that I hadn't been able to otherwise move, knocked out some stumps that were in the way of mowing and cleared out an area of bush that I hadn't been able to get into before.

I figure that once I have an operators manual so I can figure out the various hydro gears and when\how to shift, this is really going to make my life a lot easier.

Nice little tractor that can do a good job.

Also pushed around a bit of snow.

So, these are my first impressions.

Thanks

Tom

By now 777777 you may have a manual but it looks like some are downloadable from the Cub site at: PDF Manual Web Archive Manual Web Archive[You need both the model number and the serial number. I actually went to the www . cubcadet . com site and saw a link on the left of the page for Owners Manuals. I didn't realize that they had Diahatsu motors in the 30 hp models. I thought they were Mitusubishi, unless yours is a re-badged Kioti from Korea. I get confused with some of the newer models. Let us know how it turns out.

Hey MajMac,

Yup, ended up getting a manual via a download from Cub. Turns out there is a secret to it.

When you put the model # in, it isn't the actual model # on the face of the tractor but another model # that is 7 or 8 digits long that is on the serial # plate.

Once I knew that, I was off to the races and able to download it today.
Now I know all the things I did wrong before getting the manual.

Yes, it has the 30 HP Diashtsu turbo charged engine it.

Nice little tractor but could use a little more loader lift ( guess depends on where you measure it ).

Thanks for all the interest and help. It was appreciated.

Take care and have a great weekend.

Hi,

Thanks for the opportunity to compare.

Would be quite surprised if he got his start bid when it doesn't have a loader.

Truthfully, these are a really nice little tractor and well worth it if you can get them at the right price.

Have a great weekend.

Hey Eric,

Yup, love it. Kicks in when needed and I don't have to fiddle with it.

What I have found with this tractor is that it has an amazing amount of power for it's size and that I really need some weight on the back end. Box blade next on my list and soon.

Doesn't help that I really don't know what I am doing but when pushing snow around it is so easy to pull the front wheels off the ground as I have the loader too low or too angled and haven't figured out the float yet.

What I do wish is that the bucket was about 6" bigger ( 54" instead of 48" ) so I could see what it is doing while I am fiddling around.

Overall, I would say it is a really nice piece of equipment that is well worth it if you can get it at the right price.

Have a great one.

Tom
