Also go to tuff torqs website and look at the k92 and it says 882nm or 650ftlbs of torque.
The specs I linked to says it’s for the transmission.Thats for JUST THE PUMP itself. The actual final torque spec of the transmission is then the pump is in the transmission housing with the gears with the final reduction ratio. Using the specs that they use you can use the reduction ratio to find the actual torque of the pump+transaxle and gears. Thats what everyone is not understanding no offense.
it is called a transmission because it contains both the pump and the drive motor. What people are missing is that BDU10L isn't directly connected to the wheels. It is connected to a gear reduction transaxle that results in torque multiplication.Thats because hydro gear calls them transmissions for some reason.

So basically if you reduce the 85 in-lbf from 3600 rpm down to 50 rpm that 85 in-lbf gets multiplied to 510 lb-ft
The pump IS the transmission. Gears have nothing to do with it. The transmission is only rated for 208 pound feet of torque.
If it’s run through a gear reduction, the torque is increased by the gear reduction, not the transmission.
They are two separate items, even if one is directly mounted to the other.
Everybody is arguing the same point from different directions. The BDU10L has a potential of 208 in-lb torque at the output shaft. What is confusing everybody is what Hydro-gear calls a transmission is better described at a hydraulic power unit HPU. That HPU is always connected to a transaxle in like a mower differential. Which is were the torque multiplication falls into place to get the high torque ratings.
So that 208 in-lb at the HPU output can easily become several hundred lb-ft at the wheels of the piece of equipment.
Yes, that’s what you should have said. Because the subject is BDU-10L Transmission max torque and the manufacturer of the BDU-10L says it’s 208 pound feet.Thank you randy! That’s exactly what needed to be said.
