Cub Cadet Hour Meter Repair

The hour meter on my 7235 isn't working but the tach is. The cable is for both. Any suggestions?

I don't know about your machine, but are you sure it is one cable doing both jobs? There may be an electrical connection for the hour meter. Have you checked the wiring diagram? Called the service shop at the dealer?

If it is as you listed, then the only option seems to be a new tach/meter.

Easiest fix might be to add a separate hour meter (aka Hobbs meter). They are relatively inexpensive. If you cannot find one, try Pilot Supplies, Avionics, and Homebuilt Aircraft Parts from Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Co.
