Cub mower bagger

I have a ltx1040 with a bagger and the bagger tube does not want to fint on to the deck correctly the is about a finger width space between the tube and the lip where it is supossed to sit. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

New CC bagger for that ltx1040 or trying to adapt an old one? if new bagger, take back to dealer. if old one, adapting would be dicey, imho.
Mower deck exhaust configurations change quite often...even models from same mfgr.
Pix would help us to see the problem..

again - is this a bagger made by CCC specifically for that ltx1040?

Pix is sorta ambiguous - but if the yellow metal strip at the bottom is the exhaust opening lower brace, perhaps it's gotten bent out of shape a bit ?

It is made by cub cadet for that mower

Have you previously been able to get this bagger attached OK? Or has it never fit up ?

It worked for a while when i first got it but then it started looking like that pic.

suggest you have a friend that is a good mechanic to look at it or take machine to a cub dealer to fix. Based on what info/pix you have supplied, prolly a bent deck brace from hitting something with the deck shell...
