Well, I know I've arrived. I've got a cup holder.

Does anyone have a favorite placement area?

Thanks,

Buck

i cant get mine to STAY anywhere. It either gets broken off, or its in the wrong place so its moved. Gave up bought a year ago. Stuff just gets in the fluid anyway.

We've got the same tractor, thus the same cup holder problems Buck. I've considered the Chalkley/Harv magnetic mount cup on the fender (nice flat spot right in front of the grab bars) but I'm not sure about vibration. I've also thought about a bicycle water bottle cage clamped to the ROPS. Haven't tried either yet but if you do, let me know how it works /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have one of those cheapy auto style cup holders ( slightly modified ) attatched to my rops on my NH 1920. I use a bike style drinking bottle, that has a pop-up /down style top. Works fairly well.

Where can I buy a cup holder? I have room to mount one on a fender, but I don't know where to go to purchase one.

Try an auto supply store, like discount auto, auto zone, etc. they usually have an isle of things like compas's, garbage cans, note pads, cup holders, etc..

You can also try to find a cup holder on a gimbel.

A what.... you say.... This are devices that allow the holder to swing back and forth, just like the lights and compasses on ships and boats. In fact, that is where you will most likely find one. At a boat supply store. I found one at KMart last year. They work great... as long as you find a good spot and keep your clumsy body parts away from them.... hint... I broke mine off with my knee. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Not many good, safe spots on a JD4100 and a gravitationally-challanged body like mine. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I was in our local JD dealership last winter and saw their cupholder they sell so I bought one and put it on my Kubota. It was only 7 bucks and works well with cans and smaller diameter insulated cups. I have mine between the fender and seat behind the HST gear range selector and it works well.

Here is a link to a cup holder I put on my tractor. Click Here. I have not broken it yet and it’s in a location that is easy to get my drink when mowing the lawn. /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif
