The white line is a temporary barrier(2x4) to prevent the horse from entering the 'den'.
There is a paddock in front of the barn/opening for the tractor.
When all of the equipment arrived I thought 'Oh No' what have I done. We need to do a lot of work on the 12 acres. To hire out is not an option - local crews charge way to much - been stung once! I also have some jobs lined up for neighbours. Most of the gear will maintain the road (snow blower, rake, blade etc.) and some will be used to build a round pin* and ridding ring*(eventually) for the horse. *This sealed the deal for the tractor - 'honey I can build all those thing if I had a tractor and all the gear.'
I mowed the field and it took about 45 minutes. I used to do it on my little ride on mower and It would take about 2 hours. I don't mow as much due to fuel costs but I will be doing the pastures probably twice a year now. In the past I would mow them every week - a lot of hours on a little ride on mower
and no AC!!!!!
