A little bacon added is good too. Wonder if this is food for people that want to raise their cholesterol? : /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I just got back from Walmart where I found myself in the bean isle. All kinds of beans and bacon and beans, but nothing that resembled hot dogs in beans. Maybe it IS a southern thing, unless they were in the gourmet section. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nope not a gourmet thing, just a life's essiential for anyone in the south. What can I say, I had never had quiche (sp?) until I was over 40 years old. I did not know Quiche and "keesh" were the same thing /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Still like beenie weenies better than quiche though.

Maybe beenie weenie quiche ?

I guess so, I don't think I've ever seen them here in the Pac NW. Maybe I should be looking in the pork rinds isle? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

now I was born & raised in Ohio, Northern central yet, and I've known about beannie & wennies since I was a kid. back then they didn't have the pop top can like now, usually can be had mixed in around the armor meats in a can, like the little viniee winiees, tase great and gets you extra miles when peddeling on the bikes out and back to the creek! (added gas you know! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif )
actually they have the snack packs in same size can as the vineiee winiees.

Yup, I also grew up in Ohio (Marietta area) and I've know of beenie weenies as long as I can remember. They even served them once in awhile for school lunches (hot dogs and beans mixed together) ....can't remember what they called em on the school menu though. Don't think it was beenie weenies.

Cool looking cup holder. Thats one i think even I can make. Thanks for the idea.

Several years ago I worked for Halliburton Services. We would put soup sandwiches and all type of things on the manifolds of the V-12 pump engines for lunch. A new guy thought he would try it and didn't ask. He put a can of chunky soup on the manifold and left it a little to long and didn't poke a hole in the top. The soup can burst and blew his lunch all over the engines. But when done right it was great to have a hot lunch on a cold winter day.

I like the cup holder. could we have a picture of the way you mounted it and maybe down inside. I would like to copy it, unless you have a patent. Thanks

Nitroxn here is another version of your PVC cup holder that I put on my tractor just after I discovered that the factory one was about worthless. cup holder

I have a laminating machine in my office at work, and we used to have a guy at work would come in every morning at 6:00 am, turn on the laminator, and put his can of soup on top of it. By lunch time, it was warm enough to eat from the can! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

nitroxin, thanks for your clever idea, and letting me copy it, the only improvement might be is the liner I used is an insulated blue icy cup holder (Says "Winston") but it fits perfectly and is easily removed to refreeze, fortunately I have two of them so one will always be cold!!

Mom used to fix beanie weenies for us when I was growing up here in southern Indiana. Now, when I am home alone with my stepdaughters, that's what we eat. You won't find many things that are easier to prepare, and it's one of their favorite meals. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
