You are, again, right on O great one! The brochure lists at 19.7" ahead of pivot, while Deere lists at pivot. It seems like all of them WANT to use incompatible specs so we can't compare...

The new Deere 300cx looks pretty sweet, with curveyish arms, almost 1600Lb lift and a whole slew of attachments.

Mike, I've listed specs on loaders several times in various forums, and I always have omitted JD specs simply because I could not tell their point of measurement based on the information I have. Anytime you measure a loader for performance, you have measure at the same points to compare the brands.

While we have deviated from the intent of this thread, which was largely to compare the visibility of virtually equal loaders, I have to point out one more interesting thing.

Kubota has redsigned their tractors to include curved & sloping hoods, but is still using dogleg style loaders for 2005. Their loaders appear to be redesigned and appear to have a lower profile with a greater slope to the upper arm section, so I suspect they will not follow with curved arms at all. While not curved, the lower profile and the sloped/curved hoods on the 2005 Kubotas should yield a better view forward to make FEL work more efficient.

Another interesting point, at the Kubota dealer's meeting, which just ended, brand new Kubota's were tested against old model New Holland tractors with old model dog leg loaders. Both were also tested against JD equipment, from the looks of the JD tractor, it was an older series loader. Not surprisingly, Kubota loaders were rated the strongest in each of the tests. From the photos I could not see which tractors/loaders they were comparing.
