custom built hydraulic cylinder?

The local shop can cut and turn it so that will eleviate that problem.

MMM, your right the elbows are way to long. I am looking for shorter ones locally but may have to order them. It will not be as big an issue once the cylinder is turned but would look much neater.

We are getting there.

Hello Nasdagsam looks like everyone needs a hydraulic thumb i used the columbus cylinder in the link from surplus center and cut off both ends and milled up some new ones and welded them on because of the same problem you ara haveing take a look at picture i also purchased a mv3 midget sectional control valve removed one of the valves and milled up a foot control for the thumb works great!!!!!!! Good luck with your project!!!!!!!!!

Michael )</font>Michael, Nice job. I like the foot pedal. I can see where that would be a great advantage over the lever. We are sending the cylinder we have out this monday to do exactly what you did. I also see you put a stopper on the stick to keep the thumb from curling back and locking up. I like the way you did it.
