About being too low; When it's all said and done, just make sure your a-frame or pivot point for the blade is as close to plumb as possible. If your a-frame is tilted down when the plow is on the ground, the blade will want to dig in at the corners when it's angled. Not that much of a problem on a gravel road that has a crown, but a big problem if you are trying to clean snow off a paved parking lot.
Yes sir. Previous owner actually had it off plumb. Inner tip is worn off on the v part. Have my mount about 3/4in higher then the reccommended height that i can find so when i get the plow on it will have leniency for sag.

Everything is painted and installed. Next will be the back supports but this is plenty to have the truck back on the road tommorrow. Bumper will get pushed out 3/4in also but thats no big deal

Spend some time and make the rear supports substantial. In my opinion they get the brunt of the load when pushing, the front mounts basically just hang the mount on the truck. It's tough to get anything big in the back though, with all the steering linkage in the way.

Yes time will be spent on then. Not to be mean but i am fully aware of the importance. But have to get more materials first which i need to get paid again before. I wont be carrying the plow without them unless its for test fitting or moving around. The wiring is all set too besides final mounting and hooking to the battery and headlights so theres no power to things.

The back brackets shouldnt be too bad but hardest part will be going on the inside then going out some after getting to the frame over the leaf springs.

Went to tractor supply today to get bolts for the bumper too but my luck was thinking i only need 2 not 4. So i only have 2 right now so no bumper yet

Maybe you can make a crossmember to go across frame rail to frame rail, and then drop down off of that. I also found out how important the bumper is, and if you run without it how you need a piece of metal to tie the front frame rails together to simulate it being there. I didn't realize how strong the bumper makes the very front of the frame and how it ties it all together.

Figured i would do an update. Have not touched it much besides paint. Have put some thought into the braces going down. There wont be a cross member from each side of the frame then having the braces running down because of steering and straight axle. Will be using part of the old chevy back support for mounting the bracing. But probably wont be doing much for a while though because of it warming up along with work and school.

Bumper was only off for a few days. Its been back on and truck has been used for work and for my daily for a while.
