Picked the tractor up the other day after the dealership ordered another Hyd. cylinder for it, this time the maim boom cylinder. I was asking the service manager whats the chance of kubota replacing the hydro. filter and fluid as the system has been gone into 2 times in one month...
My blood pressure went off scale when he flat told me No., and I will probably have a bill for the hyd. fluid that is used during the repair, I waited for the punch line to this "joke", seems he was serious. He went on to tell me Kubota will not pay for any fluids on warranty work
.
I will have to wait and see how this all works out when the new cylinder comes in.. I can only imagine the response I would have received when I was a Ford mechanic years ago If I had told the proud owner of a new vehicle in for warranty work they had to pay for the fluid used for the repair ????????????
Has any one heard of such nonsense? This is a brand new machine with ~15hrs in for the 2nd time with a problem with a hydraulics. First time in was a FEL curl cylinder that was defective, I was charged for fluid as they installed the electric/hyro. switch assy. and just accepted it. This time the boom wont retract or retracts very slow enough to engage the boom lock..
I am anxiously awaiting how this turns out, I had to pay to have it delivered after the last warranty repair because my trailer was loaded with steel, now this..
My enthusiasm for this machine is fading rapidly..
