Customer ... Service???

Another time i reported a power outage. I saw a squirrel jump onto the top of a transformer, causing a loud bang and a flash, and fall to the ground. The circuit breaker flew open and our power went out.

The call taker ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT deviate from her script and INSISTED that I must check my main circuit breaker, to see if that was the cause, before taking the rest of the information.

After about ten minutes the squirrel got up and left. About 30 minutes later a service truck arrived and replaced the bare wires to the transformer with insulated wires and reset the circuit breaker.

I think our electric company knows when our electric goes out before I do with their smart meter.
