Customer ... Service???

I heard that cable and satellite TV companies has the worst customer service, friend of mine at work 4 months ago had a nightmare service dealings with Spectrum customer service.
Mine experiences have always been horrible with satellite and mobile phone companies.

Pharmacies are second on my list of worst customer service as far as I'm concerned.

To me, the worst part is how SLOW they talk. Retrieving my messages from BELL is painful. First option should be, how fast they prompts come. Maybe 1-25 speed selection. Fastest lke an auctioneer!

Bid ten bucks on a couple of Nortel voicemail sytems to go on my Nortel CICS, yesterday, to get rid of BELL. Missed out. I could have gone higher and got them, but programming those things is (for me) beyond complicated. AND, if you don't do it right, you could be the victim of fraud. People redirecting cheap long distance through your lines, havinggained access by VM. Customer of mine was on the hook for 20,000 over the course of a weekend! Installer probably left PW at default!

Was it a little CallPilot that you bid on for your CICS? Those are extremely easy to program. All done thu its built in web pages. Just need a PC and a web browser to set them up. And has some context sensitive help also. Those are really nice systems.

If we only knew the reason for bad customer service, me thinks it starts at the top where no one is taking pride in their company and or the company is so big and rich, which leads to an I dont care attitude which leads to a take it or leave theres the door attitude...........

I have one of those old Nortel VMs out in the barn with bird poop on it. About the size of a large toaster oven. The two at the auction, were about the size of a book. I thought there were all kinds of directory "Trees" to negotiate. I don't even know what that is.

BIg corporations. Everyone tells you, you are important and part of a "TEAM". That doesn't get you any extra pay. At your yearly review, HR is sure to tell you what you did wrong six months ago. Not a mention of anything you did day to day right. No wonder nobody gives a hoot. Funny. No one even slapped the wrists of those responsible for the 08 meltdown! But hey, you dropped that order of fries back in june, so no raise for you. Oh, yeah, the BIG guys, STILL got their raise. No wonder people are rioting!

You go to the store and tap your CC for a refund. Bang, done! On line retailer tells me I'm getting a credit and two weeks later nothing! Then my CC statement comes and I have to go to the bank to pay the amount (only one on that card). Not interested in on-line banking.

Call said company and they say it's all because of the Covid Boogeyman. Give me a F#$#$ing break!

ALWAYS funny how easy it is to buy something and hard to return or get your money back.

Yeah the Covid Boogeyman is the new excuse for incompetence at many companies. It has replaced the My Computer Is Down Boogeyman excuse. :)

The VM's the size of the book are the CallPilot. A much newer system and much easier to program and maintain. As all programming is usually done thru its web interface. Just point your browser at its IP address. Backups are of course easy as well. The web pages with context sensitive help pages makes it a breeze.

Thanks. I didn't know that the VMs for a Legacy keysystem, would have an internet connection.

I'm still not sure the VM would work for me. I have a bunch of phones ringing all over the place.

Ideally, I would like it to go to auto attendant first to get rid of ROBOCALLS, then still ring ALL those phones and then go to VM.

I know, I sold a system a while ago, farmed out the programming, but that system wouldn't do exactly what the customer wanted either.
