I bought a new economy cutter from these guys Rotary Cutters
in Minnesota. Nice unit! 10 guage deck and a Cat 4 drive line. Really beefy! I must have split half a dozen 10-pin bowling ball size rocks in half cutting a 4 acre swath that hasn't been cut in years. Price was $300 CDN les than comparitive Woods Brushbull. At same size (48") the Woods is a twelve gauge deck and a Cat 3 drive line. At 84" Woods gets to Cat 4 driveline, but still has a thinner deck at 11 gauge!

Can you post some pictures of the area you cut and your new rotary cutter. It sounds great!

Pictures....OK, here's a picture of the cutter, which doesn't do it justice. It's in the garage, next to the box blade and the light is bad. I would have hooked it on the tractor but I have to cut the lawn, so...

These are the rocks, cut like butter! (Notice the sheared tops on the two on the left)

Here is a shot of just the field. You can see my neighbors property line on the right.

Finally, here is a shot of the field where you can see I have started to box blade the area for a chamber mound raised septic field and it is marked in the forground with the sticks. The piles of dirt are, of course, where I have begun scraping.

That looks like a great deal. I also noticed that you can order them to match the color of your tractor! I've got a Kubota tractor with a JD rotary cutter. Kind of like plaid pants and white shoes!
