I have chance to use a cyclone seeder from the cyclone seed company of Urbana Illinois to do some food plot work. I know the company is out of business, and there are others who make similar products. (This has galvanized round hopper, bolts to drawbar on bottom, has side stabilizers).

It has metal side stabilizers, I think I will try to mount some sort of connections for the top link of the 3 point hitch instead. I will be using it on a Kubota B7200.

Questions:
Any sources for a manual out there? I have found some seeding rate charts for now.

Can someone who has one of these show me how the flex shaft hooks to a PTO? Or tell me where they got the link. (I have the round shaft with the hole for a crosspin, just no idea how to go from the PTO to this unlessI have something made).

Anyone use their's to spread fertilizer and have tips for doing so?

Thanks for any help!

Here's a picture of mine. Got it from my uncle, he bought it new probably 40 years ago. It came with rods to mount to the fenders, and a bracket to use the top link on the 3 point. Also have the owners manual and seeding charts. The flex shaft end that mates to the PTO has a coupler that slips over the PTO. A set screw tightens the coupler down on the end of the PTO shaft. Some of the later models used a 12 volt motor and controller to spin the spreader. I've used mine to spread fertilizer, and immmediately wash it out with water, then wipe it down with an oily rag. Holler if you want copies of the manual and seeding charts, be happy to email them to ya. Mark

Hello Briar Hill Brittanys, I've been searching for a cyclone spreader seeder rate chart and my search lead me to your post. I have inherited my grandpa's seeder but not the manual (lol). We are planning on using it early yet this spring to seed a small area. If you are willing to share any information, we would appreciate it.

Thank you,
Ckeffaber
