pull forces will be considerably different, depending on rod size.

Here you go...I put in some other numbers too, hope they fit....7.775 tons

I am building a dump trailer. The cyl. will be pushing up at a 10deg. angle at the start of the lift. With a 3" cyl. and 2200psi will I only be able to lift 2700 lbs.

Go to Surplus Hydraulics, and select tech help, select calculators, select force and speed. and use the the calculations on the right side, which has a place for angle.

Max force is at 90 degrees. Maybe you want to use 80 degrees instead of 10.

0 degrees and 180 degrees, have 0 force, any other degree will have some force and build up to the max at 90 degrees. I believe this is correct.

Draw us a diagram of your cyl to lift point.

Everything looks great, like i knew it would. May I just say something to give you more to think about. If your like me I should said, sleep on.
I would put kickers between the two beams on each side of the cyl. far enough apart to give you room to pull the pin. And one in the center on the last set of beams.

Get a telescopic cylinder with trunnion mount, that will give much better geometry and lifting force from start of lifting cycle, short retracted with a long stroke....
