Cylinder leakage

   / Cylinder leakage #11
If pressure is on the rod side from a load pushing on the cyl in a vertical position. ,air could be sucked in as well as water. If warm oil cools, air and water can be sucked into the cyl.

I opened up one of my cyl awhile back, and there was a little water in with the fluid on the rod side, and cyl was almost vertical.
that rod seal is definetely a weak point, but sa long as rod side of piston stays pressurized (not over running) no air water can get in....thermo effekt also possible, especially when rod is fully retracted, larger volume of oil that cools down creates larger volume of vacuum/air/water....but all this is possible through any fitting too...

That is what I figured. Thanks for verifying
