Maybe I should post this question on the hydraulics forum, but in rebuilding the crowd (or dipper) cylinder, I found both the main piston seals facing the same direction. At first I thought someone got one on backward, but now I'm wondering if it's intentional since all the power is needed to crowd/dig/dip and very little to extend the dipper. Any thoughts? Thanks

Sounds like one is on backward. You still would like to have full pressure to extend the dipper for pushing dirt or other objects with it.
