Re: \'D\' for 4wd?
<font color=green>It is just a mistake, probably got a good deal on the decals off ebay. At least it has decals. If the buyer is dumb enough to buy a 2wd expecting a 4wd because of the decals then he shouldn’t be operating machinery anyway and should be studied under hot lights.
True.. and i know that if you are buying anything used / private.. it is buyer beware... but everyone here can walk up and smell the tractor and know what it is / what to look for.
The average tractor needin' person who doesn't have experience with yanmar is gonna be way turned off with these units when down the road they need a part and can't pin down the corect model of tractor they have for ordering info. Heck... they may not even be the right models... everything he had looked small... course all the rims / tires could have been changed out, etc.
I may run by again at lunch and try to jot down some serial numbers / engine numbers to see what he really is selling.
So far all his models were the red yanmars, except the fx which was green.... but looked like it had been spray-bombed.
On the plus side, they didn't look repainted ( except fx ) and there weren't any noticeable welds / leaks. All the steering members were nice and tight, and the wheel bearings felt reasonable good on the rock ( back and forth ) test.
