D40

Wondering how owners of Case IH D machines are getting along? I'm looking to trade up to a D40 from a TC25, any comments from current owners with some seat time.

Likes, dislikes, trouble, praise. Searched and found most posts are from mid 09 or older.

I have a Case DX40 for a year and a half now, I don't have many hours on it, but it is a pleasure to use. It has the hydro transmission, witch I thought I did not want at the time. The D40 has the manual tranny but they take away so many options that I was not happy with it. After owning the hydro, for my use I'm sure glad I got it. It cost more than the manual shift but you are not just paying for the transmission. It is a nice unit with good visibility and I really like the loader.
