D950 - white smoke - Oil coming out exhaust/vent

Actually I just pull the head for the 2nd time. The pistons were fine, not cracked. However, one of the pistons had its rings stuck because of all the gunk build up I suppose, because the oil was really sludgy. Smoke is constant.

The blow-by seem to be the most probable cause at this point. I'll have to wait till the end of season and pull the head again. What a joy!

What I got from all of this is you need to hone those ridges off the cylinder or you are going to keep getting ring damage.

Also, make sure that oil that comes in to lube the upper running gear can drain effectively back down through the engine to the oil pan. Put another way, make sure there is neither crud nor critters blocking drain ports.

Or an upside down head gasket. (drain holes won't line up correctly)
