DA cylinders

What's the possibility of using DA cylinders with a single acting 12v pump? Can you just vent (to tank) the unused side?

Yup! The unused port can be vented, or often there is a hose that runs from that port to the top of the tank just to keep the system "sealed"

There is a screened vent that screws in the port that you can buy. Any hydraulics store or dealer should have them.

And with the correct valve and plumbing.. you can use it DA...
