Had some time last tonight and was able to pull the metal off, replace the damaged 2x6, and replace everything. I'm happy with the way it came out. Here are some pictures.

The pictures came up out of order for some reason. The last picture shows the damaged siding removed but still the damaged trim piece and 2x6. The second picture shows all the metal removed that was required to replace the 2x6 and the new 2x6 in place. The last picture is the finished product.

Good job, looks like new.

Now you need a bale guard on that side of the building.

A few steel post filled with concrete would work!!!!!!!!!

Great job on the repair. Now that post is the strongest in the building.

Thanks, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I've actually been thinking about a bale guard, if I do something I'll either add it to this thread or start a new one.

Thanks. I was looking at that post again today and I think you're right, it probably is the strongest.

Nice repair job and I like the colors too. I like how you burned the concrete black inside when it was poured. I had that done too. It is slick when wet but sure cleans up nice.

Thanks. The concrete just has a clear sealer that was applied as soon as the trialling was done. The floor held its dark gray color and the clear coat has held up well, it sweeps up very easy too.
