I have the UltraGuard policy, underwritten by Sentry.

In section 2 under EXCLUSION, I found the following paragraph:

(e) Collision, upset or overturn of covered property to the extent of any loss or damage to the wheels, rims, inner tubes, tires, or rubber tracks of covered property. But, we will pay for loss or damage to wheels, rims, inner tubes, tires, or rubber tracks if the same accident causes other covered loss or damage to the same piece of covered property.

I take that to mean I'm not covered since no other damage took place.

The entire policy is here:

I'd try a boot long before I'd buy another tire. Not hard to do if you've got spoons and a way to handle the tire.

When I was a kid my dad had some patches that were in a sardine can type container. After prepping tire it was put in place on inside of tire. Then set on fire. Those patches never came off.

Is this the tractor that was stolen or am I thinking of someone else that had their tractor stolen?

I'll see what the shop has to say when I take it to them, hopefully tomorrow.

If it can be repaired, then I'll have a spare.

No, this tractor was never stolen, must be thinking of someone else.

Turns out I lost most of the rim guard driving down the road to get it home. It only comes up to the bottom of the rim. Guess I'll need to make another trip to the rim guard place 80 miles down the road once I get everything back together after all.

Sorry to hear of this accident/loss. I hit a stub of a broken off T post I was not aware was even there. Probably 100 yards from the barn. I still lost most of the CCL ballast. Mobile tire repair truck was able to boot and retube, BUT they did NOT send a truck capable of refilling with ballast. They wanted another $75 just to send the correct truck in addition to cost of refilling. This was with the 2030 before I had the 6415 with 16.9 - 28 bias tire. Charge was about $160, tube, boot, labor, service charge for truck, at least ten years ago. It was $75 just to get the truck there, service charge.

I am thinking radial and sidewall, they are correct that it is not repairable. The $30 to R & R the tire sound too low.

Got the replacement tire mounted on the rim and pumped the rim guard I had recovered back into the tire and then had the closest rim guard dealer make a service call to fill it the rest of the way up to the valve @ 12 o'clock. Took 40 gallons, which means I was able to save about 50 gallons or so. $3 per gallons plus $65 for the service call, so the total came to $185. Not too bad I suppose. All in all this was a $1,500 lesson.

With the tractor back in the road, the first order of business was to get rid of that #@%$@# stump.

Here it is taking its last breath :D

Good on the stump... but a chainsaw cut would reduce that stump to near ground level quickly, (next time).. :)

Why couldn't you just put a patch inside it and then tube it?

I sliced a tire loading trash in the back of a long dumpster. The tire repair shop that repairs tires for quarries, earth movers and road building companies patched it right up. It did fine until some knucklehead (not me as I had left that farm a few years ago) put 60 PSI in the tire that is supposed to have 24 or less PSI. Even then the patch held tough. You should see the gashes those industrial tires have that are patched. Those tires are in the $10,000's. They run those tires until they are fuzzy onion skin tires with no tread visible. A few hundred dollars for a vulcanized patch is cheap when a tire is that expensive.
