No, I was making a funny. Meaning that I should have taken the engine out to install the block heater the first time. It would have been much easier and I wouldn't have had anything in my way!

Any guesses on how many man-hours you'll have in you'll "install block heater" job. That way when some new poster here asks....

It might not be right, but it sure is funny!

Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 hrs. Not counting the 4 trips to the machine shop, parts runs, hours of research.

Had a good night. I just shut the lights off at 11:00.

Valves adjusted.
Hydraulic pump installed.
Fuel filter and lines installed
Wiring harness re-installed including starter, alternator.
Fan installed.
Brake linkages re-installed.
Coolant filled (no leaks).
Battery charged.
2 gallons of Fuel in tank.
Instrument panel re-installed. Turned the key to "run", all pre-start lights work.

Tomorrow, I just need to install the hydraulic suction hose, top off the Super UDT, install oil & filter and we can start her up.

I'll be sure to video it.

I've been following along even though I haven't posted. Hope all works well.

ROFLMAO!!

And what would the cost of the heater be if you added up all the parts, shipping, tax and ALL the labor at $125/ hour?

Well, I'd like to say that I have the tractor running, but my uncle was not available last night. I am ready to turn the key. So it's looking like Monday or Tuesday night.

I filled the filter with oil, squirted oil down the oil filter line also. Since I wasn't going to start it, I worked on a new switch for the utility lights, tightening the floor "deck" bolts. I hate to go any further before we start it up. I figure after it's running, I have another 2 hours of mounting the instrument column covers, floor mat, loader mounts, hood, grill, etc... Was so hoping to do that today.

Oh well.. I've waited this long.

By the way, I forgot to mention, we also replaced the output shaft for the front driveshaft on Tuesday night. I was dreading it and almost skipped it, but I knew I would kick myself later. I am hopeful that the slow drips are gone now that all three seals to the clutch housing are new. If I am successful with my entire project, It will still have been cheaper than paying a dealer to replace this one seal.
