I suspect what has happened in China is they have taken a mower intended to hang off a three point linkage and simply put a drawbar on front. The rigidity of 3PL has gone and so has any semblance of control.
For what it's worth, here's a couple of video. The first shows how it behaves as standard and part way through I insert some pins to limit the rear wheel steering.
In the second video I've welded up the rear wheels so they're solid.

As you can see, my mod to stop the rear wheels pivoting has made it perform ok on level ground.
Tomorrow I'm going to try it on the sloping property that I bought it for.
