The Case-IH dealer I know sells Danuser (SP?) chippers. The model I was looking at was a 4" with feed rollers. Asking price was $4700. I did a search, but came up nil on this chipper. Has anyone had any experience with Danuser? I know absolutely nothing about wood chippers and want to buy the right one the first time. I have decided that I definitely want a unit that has the rollers. Any advice would be appreciated.
Danuser never made chippers - they were marketing them for another company that put it together. The original manufacturer quit making them, but another company started making the same unit:
Ground Maintenance Equipment
1-208-677-0257.
Danuser is no longer marketing, selling or supporting these units, and is not involved with Ground Maintenance Equipment.
I got this information from Bill at Danuser.
I do have a Danuser F8 post-hole digger, and it is built like a tank. If the chipper is a model that was backed in the past by Danuser, I'm sure it is a good unit.
I have a Danuser 4 inch chipper with feed roller. I have been very pleased with the unit. I bought it approx 3 years ago from Danuser. I wanted a power feed but did not want a hydraulic unit and Danuser fit the bill nicely. I use it with my B7500 Kubota without a problem. I do not try to push it above 3- 4inch diam trees and brush and it hums away for hours. With damp wood jamups occur at times but the access to these sites is quick and easy. the manual that came with the unit is straightforward. I also have heard that Danuser no longer sells the unit but it can be obtained from Ground Maintenace Equipment . /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
