You are correct! With our quality and reputation we don't receive a lot of upset customers looking for customer service. When we attend trade shows, most customers come in to share their experience with our products and inform us of how pleased they are. Give me a call at 573.642.2246 Ext 204 or email me at sales@danuser.com if and when you are in the market for some quality equipment.

The MD5 or MD6 were both the PTO driven drivers we offered from 1956-2004. You needed a 540 RPM with category I or II tractor. The driver weight was 235 lbs. You could drive up to a 8' post around 6.5" in diameter. When transporting the driver from point A to B the driver was around 7' tall. The weight weight could operate from 52"-100" above ground. In 2004 when we last sold them you could purchase one for around $3300-$3500 depending upon your tractor. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Just got the "Glen" treatment myself for an even older Model 2193 post driver. Essentially the MD-6 but earlier. Called at lunch and the return call was a half hour later...."we will send an operators manual and parts list right out in today's mail".

I too live by customer service. My business phone is my home phone, and I don't leave a customer unattended until they are sleeping in one of our beds or eating off one of our tables. I have waited 20 years with the name "Danuser" either being unaffordable new....OR NOBODY WOULD PART WITH A "USED" ONE.
BUT...Danuser and Quality have been synonymous for 40 years to me.

Mine must have set in a dead farmer's barn....the drive chain is still tensioned at the highest setting....the paint looks new, and it was made somewhere between 1957-1966.
We pressure washed it, greased it up and started pounding an hour later. Thanks Glen.

I'm looking at buying a used Danuser MD-6. Just wondering what are the wear parts and what I should look for when buying it?

Thanks

Glad to hear about a positive customer service experience. When I was looking to purchase a used Unitec mag drill I called Unitec in CT and asked them a few questions. I told them I was looking at a used one on CL and I couldn't believe how willing the were to discuss a used product purchase. I've also heard good things about Danuser, glad to hear your experience.

The most common wear parts are the friction wheel (PN 2560) and the brake pads (PN 2007 & 2008). If you contact Danuser with your serial number with your complete name and address, we will furnish an Owner's Manual, safety decals, and a letter explaining what is new for that driver.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Great information and I'm glad to see Danuser is a stand-up company... it will definitely be on my list for future purchases.

I have to also say that Shaver was very helpful when I bought my used HD10 post driver... they helped me figure out how/if it'd work on my tractor, let me know all parts were still available and they had a few safety recommendations/modifications made on newer units.

Glen, I realize that this a very old post but thought I would ask anyway. I contacted your company about 2 weeks ago with questions about my MD-6. The young lady I talked to was most helpful. I needed the sizes of the support legs. She emailed detailed drawings of what I needed. They are now being made by a close friend at his weld shop. My support legs were thrown out as scrap while cleaning up after a tornado strike Mar 2, 2012. She also sent me an owner's manual and all new decals. Very seldom do you find a company wanting to be so helpful. She should be commended. Her name is Morgan.

MY Question, Do you know where I can purchase a repair manual. One that shows adjustments and settings. Shim placement, etc. Maybe somewhere in a dark closet or old file cabinet one might be laying.
Should anyone see this post and can direct me to one, I would be grateful.
Thanks, R. Smith, aka Oletrapper
