I want to install the new 40 Amp alternator kit on my B3030 and it says to remove the dash so you can get to some of the wireing. I have the steering wheel removed but I am stuck there. The throttle lever seems to be holding me back but it looks like a lot of work to remove. There must be an easier way. Is anyone familiar with removing the dash? Thanks in advance.

I have made a couple attemps of removing the dash. You have to unscrew the rpm cable and remove the instrument cluster. Then you can pull the lower half of the dash out and away from the throttle lever. I never went any farther than disconnecting rpm cable. I was afraid I would break some of that fantastic plastic.I have a pdf break down of the tractor. I'll try to attach it.

Thanks, By removing the rpm cable I was able to move the dash enough to get at the wiring and install the alternator. I never gave that a thought as I assumed the tach was electric. I'm glad I didn't try to take the throttle lever off. That looks like a lot of work and it is unnecessary. The new alternator works great. I now have 13.5 volts at only 1500 rpm with all of the lights on including the three 55 watt work lights I added. Before it was barely 11 volts at WOT.
